- We have successfully recruited Dr. May Alarab who is a Clinician Scientist in the area of Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Disorders. She has completed a 4 year Fellowship in Urogynecology during which time she obtained her MSc. Her research is focused on the investigation of the genes that regulate normal and abnormal pelvic floor development and their relationship to Stress Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Prolapse.
- We have recruited Dr. Han Keunen to the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Keunen completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as his PhD at the University of Maastricht, Netherlands followed by a 3-year Maternal-Fetal-Medicine Fellowship at the University of Toronto. He brings additional expertise to the Medical Disorders of Pregnancy Program.
- We have recruited Dr. Elyse Levinsky to the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Levinsky brings expertise in the areas of Bioethics as well as the management of women with chronic pelvic pain. She has been appointed Co-Director of the Wasser Pain Clinic.
- Paul Bernstein was appointed Chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Specialty Committee in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Andrea Jurisicova received a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Reproductive Biology.
- We are just completing the final stages of planning for the Women's and Infant's Health Redevelopment Project.
